Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity will participate in Give to the Max Day, an online giving event promoted in Minnesota, on Thursday, November 14, 2013.
Lake Agassiz Habitat Executive Director Rob Rich stated, “Donations on Give to the Max Day will help us build three homes in 2014. The third house will be the 50th home we build with the support of our volunteers and donors in Cass and Clay Counties. This year, the first $3,000 will be matched dollar for dollar by First International Bank & Trust.”
“We set single-day records for philanthropic giving in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, and want to keep that streak going in 2013,” said Dana Nelson, executive director of GiveMN. Give to the Max Day debuted in fall 2009 as a first-of-its-kind giving website and sponsors.
During last year’s Give to the Max Day, 53,339 people made donations through GiveMN.org. The result: $16.3 million raised for 4,381 Minnesota nonprofits and schools, whose missions range from feeding the hungry to protecting the environment, from teaching young students to promoting the arts.
Help Lake Agassiz Habitat reach the 2013 goal of $6,000 by donating online at www.GiveMN.org and search for Lake Agassiz Habitat. Every donation up to $3,000 will be matched by First International Bank & Trust. In addition, your gift may help Lake Agassiz Habitat win an extra $1,000 or $10,000 in prizes.
Be the key to our success in helping families and addressing the lack of affordable housing in Cass and Clay counties!
